Bryan University congratulates Dr. Cecil Broadnax on his appointment to the National Career Development Association (NCDA) board as one of the two Trustees for Higher Education Career Counselors and Specialist positions.
The NCDA provides professional development, publications, standards, and advocacy to practitioners and educators who inspire and empower individuals to achieve their career and life goals.
The National Career Development Association was founded in 1913 as the National Vocational Guidance Association; the organization’s name officially changed in 1985. The NCDA is the first and longest-running career development association in the world. This year marks the NCDA’s 100th anniversary!
The NCDA is the recognized leader in developing standards for the career development profession, creating career counseling services, and evaluating career information materials. Also, the NCDA works closely with licensing and credentialing bodies to prepare and recognize career counselors and development personnel.
Dr. Cecil Broadnax serves Bryan University as the Director of Workforce Development and Career Services. He was asked to consider applying for the Trustee position, which included a description of his 30+ years of leadership experience in Career Development Services.
“I look forward to contributing my experience to the art of Career Development Services and am anxious and excited to learn from others,” says Dr. Broadnax.
