New Undergraduate Certificate and Associate Degree in Medical Assisting

Bryan University is pleased to announce the addition of two new programs in the healthcare field: a Clinical Medical Assistant Undergraduate Certificate and an Associate Degree in Administrative Medical Assisting.

These programs are offered fully online throughout most of the states in the U.S.* and provide students the knowledge and skills to succeed in a medical assisting career. The curriculum is aligned with employer needs to give graduates the skills to become job-ready – all from the comfort of home!

Bryan University’s online environment provides an engaging learning experience where students complete assignments that simulate real-world medical assisting job tasks using an at-home medical kit.”

Students can dually enroll in the undergraduate certificate that transfers directly into the associate degree. Graduates gain valuable skills needed for the modern marketplace such as:

  • Medical assisting professional overview
  • Preparation for CPR certification
  • Medical terminology, anatomy, & physiology
  • Pathology, diseases, infection control, & pharmacology
  • Overview of medical billing, coding, and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Phlebotomy (collecting blood samples)
  • Patient measurements, vital signs, & injections
  • Patient exams including eye and ear assessment, sterilizing medical equipment, and assisting with surgical procedures
  • Assisting with specialty exams including radiology, diagnostic imaging, and electrocardiograms
  • Soft skills such as communications, interpersonal relations, and critical thinking
  • Medical office software and technologies
  • Healthcare human resources management
  • Cybersecurity for medical records and HIPAA compliance

As no-cost benefits to all Bryan U medical assisting students, the following items are included in tuition:

  • A Medical Kit to perform at-home practice with a stethoscope, phlebotomy and IV kit, and blood pressure cuff
  • Certification for both the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
