Bryan University is proud to announce that Marjorie Rosen has been unanimously elected to become the new Vice President of Advocacy for Arizona’s Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 year. Marjorie currently serves as BU’s Program Director for several of our healthcare programs.
For more than 60 years, HIMSS has served the global health community by committing to reforming the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology, realizing the full potential of every human, everywhere. Marjorie was first introduced to the HIMSS board earlier this year in August. In her new role, she will oversee advocacy efforts, policy updates, and outreach efforts for members. Marjorie is most looking forward to partnering with a larger audience than before.
She has also served as the Director of Advocacy for AZHIMA, the Arizona Chapter of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She shares that with her new role, she will now be able to bridge the two organizations together, creating partnership opportunities that will benefit all. Now, when Marjorie can connect with the state legislature, she represents double of voices of Arizona.
When asked about being voted into her new role, Marjorie shared, “I am humbled and honored to serve in this role for health information professionals in our state.
