TEMPE, Ariz. – Bryan University announced plans to host the Tempe Chamber of Commerce for a Community Business Breakfast, Nov. 5, 2013, 7:30 a.m., at the university’s headquarters, 350 W. Washington St., Tempe, Ariz.

In addition to offering attendees a continental breakfast, the event will provide mutually beneficial networking opportunities for the two organizations. Bryan University administrators will lead tours throughout the Tempe campus and innovative office space—featuring colorful workstations, a beanbag conference room, multiple whiteboard planning walls, interactive computer monitors, micro-kitchens, sharing cubes, a treadmill work-station, and a full array of broadcast rooms complete with state-of-the art online-education technologies.

“Bryan University is extremely honored to partner with the Tempe Chamber of Commerce to enhance the educational environment and economic viability of our community as a whole,” said Eric Evans, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to serving the Tempe area in a number of ways: by sharing our wide breadth of knowledge and expertise within our fields of focus, as well as contributing conference space and the potential for local businesses to tap into our technology for individualized employee-training purposes.”

The Tempe Chamber of Commerce has been committed to growing the vitality of the business community since it was first established in 1908. Currently, the organization represents nearly 1,000 members with more than 74,000 employees. Services are geared to networking, advocacy, and professional development, providing members “with the tools and means needed to achieve success at every level of their enterprises.”

Joining Evans as hosts of the Bryan University Community Business Breakfast will be Don Gull, Chancellor; Chad Evans, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer; William Hamilton, Provost and Vice Chancellor; Dr. T. Forcht Dagi, Vice Chancellor; Gary Salazar, Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; and numerous faculty, administrators, and staff members.

Founded in 1940, Bryan University has established itself as a frontrunner of market-driven education, offering degrees that lead directly to employment in select high-growth professions within the fitness, healthcare, and legal-services industries. As an innovator within interactive online education, the university immerses students in a collaborative-learning environment that is atypical of traditional online deliveries for the purposes of providing superior learning outcomes. “Our faculty follows a proven learning model that has been updated with high-technology and complemented with high-touch,” said Gary Salazar.  “Students learn through engagement with their peers and faculty, and challenge everything; they have incredible resources available to them.”

In February 2014, Bryan University plans to celebrate the grand-opening of the Tempe campus, which also serves as headquarters for administrators, faculty, and staff within the institution’s Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Outreach and Career Services departments.
