New Associate Degree in Human Resources Management at Bryan U

Bryan University is excited to announce the addition of the Associate Degree in Human Resources Management (HRM) to its business program offerings. This new online-only program will provide students with the knowledge and skillset to succeed in HR-related roles such as HR assistant, benefits assistant, payroll clerk, operations manager and more. By learning from a curriculum aligned with the employers’ needs, graduates will be ready to advance their careers in HR.

Dr. Jennifer Newmann, the Business Programs Director states: “At Bryan University, our business programs are aligned with the modern marketplace so that students are job-ready upon graduation. We’ve designed our Human Resources program and courses to give our students the experiences and skills they need to succeed in the real world and to make learning in an online environment engaging, interactive, and job-relevant.”

Students will have the opportunity to earn an associate degree in a 100% online environment while building a solid foundation in:

  • Human resources management
  • Performance management
  • Employee training and development
  • Employee compensation, payroll, and benefits
  • Workplace technologies such as Microsoft Office©

Dr. Newmann continues: “We’ve also taken great care to ensure that our program incorporates industry expectations so that our students are prepared for both their new careers and relevant HR certifications. We are pleased to share that Bryan University has partnered with the HR Certification Institute (HRCI©) to offer our students preparation for the Associate Professional in Human Resources© – or aPHR© – certification exam.”

Bryan University is currently the only university partner of HRCI in the state of Arizona. As part of the Bryan University HRM associate degree program, the cost for one exam attempt for the aPHR© certification is paid for by the university. This credential will enhance graduates’ credibility in the marketplace. Students may also sit for a Microsoft Excel certification, paid for by the university. Students completing this degree also have the support of an outstanding career services team to assist in career readiness and job search.

Bryan University’s online programs are structured to create a vibrant community of faculty and peers. Student engagement and support services are available throughout the program. The HRM program also includes live events such as one-on-one faculty mentoring sessions, tutoring, and live class sessions in Zoom. Through technology tools and innovation, Bryan programs encourage peer and faculty interaction and provide students with networking opportunities.

Bryan University also offers dual enrollment, which means students may enroll in the Business Administration Undergraduate Certificate and the Associate Degree in Human Resources Management concurrently. Students may also opt to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business after completion of the associate degree program.
