LearnBryan Turns a New Page With E-Books

ebook daniel sancho - CopyBryan University recently announced that students will have access to a vast library of e-books and other digital course materials via the school’s learning management platform. Entrance into the world of e-books is provided through a new partnership between CourseSmart, a leading provider of digital course materials, and LoudCloud Systems Inc., the learning management platform known to Bryan University students as “LearnBryan.”

The integration creates a streamlined workflow for students and faculty through single sign-on access via the  LearnBryan learning management system.

“We are continually looking for new ways to reduce tuition costs, simplify processes, and enhance the overall experience for our students and faculty,” said Kurt Hayes, Director of Instructional Design at Bryan University. “This integration allows us to bridge the gap between publishers and the learning management system. In doing so, we create a seamless experience that allows students and faculty to access the materials they need in the way they prefer: web-based, offline, print on demand, or mobile. We are also excited to provide our faculty additional insight into their students’ reading habits through CourseSmart Analytics.”

“We are excited to be partnering with CourseSmart and providing our higher education customers with a seamless integration to digital course materials,” said LoudCloud CEO Manoj Kutty. “We look forward to additional integrations and helping the higher education industry realize the potential of our data-based LMS.”

CourseSmart is a leading Educational Services Platform with a digital library of more than 40,000 titles representing more than 50 publishers. Founded in 2007, the San Mateo, Calif.-based company provides services to four business segments: online direct retail for students; indirect distribution of course materials to students through bookstores; online faculty textbook evaluation services; and institutional solutions for faculty and students that are integrated within campus technology ecosystems. CourseSmart aims to improve the educational experience by offering all users, including those with print-related disabilities, anytime, anywhere access to the course content they need.

LoudCloud was founded in 2010 to develop and deliver disruptive technologies and solutions in higher education. The company is growing rapidly and seeks out partnerships with forward-looking institutions and school districts to positively shape teaching and learning in the 21st century.
