Bryan University E-Discovery Team Appearing at ILTA

Bryan University Provost William Hamilton and other esteemed members of the school’s Department of E-Discovery faculty and advisory board are slated to appear at the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) Catalyst Convention hosted in Las Vegas, Aug. 18-22, 2013. The Catalyst is a four-day educational conference featuring more than 200 peer-developed seminars spotlighting technologies used within legal professions.

Hamilton will present “What Litigation Support Professionals Need to Know About Information Governance,” revealing potential risks, mitigation strategies and how litigation support professionals can partner with information governance peers to diminish risks. In addition to serving as the Bryan University Provost, Dean and Chairman of the school’s Department of E-Discovery, Hamilton is a partner with Quarles & Brady LLP, where he has worked extensively in the areas of business litigation and intellectual property.

Joining Hamilton on the agenda of ILTA’s 36th Annual Educational Conference are Bryan University E-Discovery Advisory Board members and professors Scott Cohen, Director of E-Discovery Support Services at the international law firm of Winston & Strawn LLP, and Dera Nevin, Managing Counsel at TD Bank.

Cohen is scheduled to lead two seminars,If I Were in Your Shoes … Strengthening Partner Relationships” and “The Business of Litigation and Practice Support,” while Nevin is slated to present “ECM in the Law Department (Who Said It Couldn’t Be Done?)” and “What Litigation Support Professionals Need to Know About Information Governance.”

Bryan University Professor Paige Hunt Wojcik, Director of E-Discovery Services at Perkins Coie, will be addressing three topics: “The Business of Litigation and Practice Support,” “So You’ve Done a Few Predictive Coding Projects …” and “Focus on the Left To Do It Right: Implementing Client-Oriented Data Management and Document Review Strategies.”

Browning Marean, a member of the Bryan University E-Discovery Board of Advisors and Senior Counsel for DLA Piper, is also on the ILTA Catalyst speaker list, with plans to lead a discussion on “The Value of E-Discovery Metrics.”

Other Bryan University E-Discovery board members attending the conference are Denise Talbert, a partner with Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, and Michael Quartararo, Director of Litigation Support Services and Certified Project Management Professional with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP.
