The Career Services Advisor is responsible for developing relationships with companies within the degree industries that result in placement opportunities for our graduates. Career Services key function is to assist students to prepare for the workforce in their chosen career field. The Career Services Advisor will also be responsible working alongside the Career Services and Alumni Outreach teams while providing a high level of customer service to active students and graduates. This individual will achieve successful placement rates that exceed accreditation standards.

Work-study and/or degree needed internships are identified and facilitated with students.

Administrative:

Placement statistics, new employer relationships, and current employer relationships are reported on a weekly basis.

Employment accounts are seamlessly established and maintained with key industry employment agencies.

Work-study and/or internships are coordinated effectively with appropriate documentation and commitment from all parties.

Various workshops are facilitated on career-related programs/issues for faculty, students and staff.

Classroom visits happen on a monthly basis.

Positive collaborative relationships are established and maintained with faculty, staff, students, alumni and employers to sustain quality career development programs at Bryan University.
General Duties
-
Collaborate with pending graduates and graduates to meet the accreditation placement statistics, including but not limited to, resume & cover letter writing and editing, mock interviewing, career coaching and advising, as well as position identification.

Coordinate with pending graduates and graduates employment opportunities.

Identify and coordinate student relations with work-study and/or degree needed internships.
-
Develop relationships with employers for work-study program, required degree internships, employee training, and employer sponsored degree study training.

Communicate with unplaced graduates and students who have completed 75% of their program.
Physical Demands/Work Environment

Ability to work in a virtual environment using software technology including but not limited to Blackboard Collaborate, Blackboard IM, Moodle, LoudCloud

Ability to sit for six to eight hours

Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree
-
3+ years professional experience in career services or a related field, along with the ability to show demonstrated knowledge of the career development field (related technology experience preferred)

Proven track record on improving placements within an educational environment

Proven track record for being a dynamic communicator and facilitator

Strong presentation and organizational skills

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment

We are seeking qualified instructors for our Occupational Associate Degree program in Health Information Management / Coding.
Duties and Responsibilities

The teaching assignments include medical (and technology) related topics such as Health Information Technology and Systems, Medical Records-EMR Management and Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology

Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor degree preferred in Health Information, or related field

Three years of professional experience

Faculty and Staff:

Collaborate with other world class faculty who view themselves as pioneers dedicated to taming the new educational frontier. Assist each student to successfully complete their education and enter the work place as preferred, dedicated, intelligent and immediately productive employees.
Instructional:

Use student centric systems focus on learning styles, reinforcement loops and dashboard feedback allowing students to learn according to their capacities. Use virtual classrooms with superior results that are preferred by students above both physical and blended/hybrid programs. Use engaging multimedia, interactive, experiential, coaching environments that accelerate and retain knowledge.
Curriculum development:

Provide input and suggestions to the program director in the effectiveness of the curriculum. Focus on student centric, adaptive learning supported by leading edge virtual classroom technologies.

Maintain professional relationships with associations and other program and career resources.
Organizational:

Coordinate with peers and staff to ensure coordination of interdepartmental activities. Assist with the processes in Admissions, Student Finance and Student and Alumni Outreach.

Ensure programs are rated by students, business, education, associations and agencies as best. Ensure policies and procedures are appropriately followed. Participate in the preparation of all required reports.

Qualifications:

Ability to inspire students and other faculty and staff to their highest levels of achievement and excellence.

Teaching experience.

Five+ years as a certified professional court reporter and realtime reporting experience.

Knowledge and understanding of the professional career paths and required education.

Accreditation and regulatory experience preferred.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of fitness, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry. Multiple certifications preferred.
